C# to Android app

I need to develop an application with c# that will be used on an android tablet. is there any plugin or specific program I can use on visual studio to do this??

Yes you can do this on VS using Xamarin.Android

To my knowledge, the only current option for developing Android applications using C# is Xamarin.

You can either use Visual Studio or their own Xamarin studio.
