you can always use Console.ReadLine() in object initializer as @Rajnikant hawaldar has mentioned, what you can't is console.WriteLine() as it returns Void.

When you know what does ReadLine do then there will be no doubt at all

Basically ReadLine() function reads the input from the console (user) and navigate the cursor to a new line as methodname specifies that.

Read() function read the input and keeps the cursor at the end of it

ReadKey() function reads a single key from the user and navigate to the end of it.

I have created console app and used ReadLine() inside object initializer its working.
using System;
namespace UserReadLineInsideObjectInitializer
{
    public class Student
    {
        public string StudentName { get; set; }
    }
    class Program
    {
        static void Main(string[] args)
        {
            Student stdObj = new Student()
            {
                StudentName = Console.ReadLine(),
            };
            Console.WriteLine("Student Name is: {0}",stdObj.StudentName);
            Console.ReadKey();
        }
    }
}
