Close Form

If this is a Windows Forms application, then you won't be able to close the start-up form without closing the whole application.

However, if say you want to open Form3 from Form2 and then close Form2 etc, then this code should do it:

// on Form2

Form3 f3 = new Form3();

f3.Show();

this.Close();

// on Form3

/* handle FormClosed event */

private void Form1_FormClosed(Object sender, FormClosedEventArgs e)

{

Form2 f2 = new Form2();

f2.Show();

}

Incidentally, instead of closing the first form, you might want to consider hiding it instead.

You'd then be able to restore it to its previous state and it would also work with the start-up form as well.
