Clusterd a non-clustered index

Hi All, which is the fast running processes cluster or non cluster? and why? Thanks All

just checked everyones answer and they are all right but the question is what filed is been clustered index (CI) and what has the non-cluster index (NCI) generally the CI is on a internal key like a surrogate key which help in a scenario like Master, detail table, something like an INNER JOIN but the NCI key is generally on natural key or business keys like your SIN number or your student ID, what i am trying to say is tha the NCI will be maily used in the WHERE clause of your views if needed Good luck

Clustered is the fast process because in this case data stored physically in a same table. Where in case of Non - Clustered Table, data stored in heap and related point is stored in the Table.

Clustered would be faster because of the way data is stored. In case of clustered, data is physically stored in the same table whereas for non-clustered case data is stored on heap and pointer is stored in table.
