Communicate with usb printer

You have to use some sort of printer driver to be installed on your machine. Also it depends on which application model your are working on.

1. Is it Windows Form based or WPF app?

In this case you have to use printer sdk specific to printer hardware and follow the documentation provided by vendor. or you can use native classes like PrintDocument.

2. Is it Windows Store app?

you can use native Windows SDK APIs. This way, you can use methods provided by api to delegate print task to operating system and operating system will use your printer driver to send the print command.
