Create Application for Power Interruption Controller

Hey,
I have to create one application for maintain the report of Television System on and off.
For that I am using I/O Connector,
actually I know it will work if i use I/O Controller and communicate with C# Application. But I am not aware about it. how to use and implement this.

If someone know please let me know any idea about it :)

This project is for to maintain record in SQL, how many times TV is on and off

Thanks for the response, Actually I am not aware about it which I/O Connector should I use. If you know about it please let me know..
