CS0266 Cannot implicitly convert type 'System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable' to 'System.Collections.Generic.List '. An explicit conversion exists (are you missing a cast?)

looks you forgot to cast it to .ToList() at the end. Refer below link.

if your method returns List then convert whatever collection you are having to List using ToList()
Public List Get()
{
return db.Employees.ToList();
}
