Hi,

I would suggest not to decompile the exe before u get the license and copywright aggrements of the win service acceptance from the company.

again if Dotfuscator is used then again it will be difficult to get to the source code.

Try and get the authorised source code. Look it from the legal angle.

Debugging is a part of source code compilation. You can't debug a Win Service without getting its code.

Hi, thanks for ur reply. i have refused to work on the service. Now i am being assigned another project. But i wanted to know somethings about win service. I was looking at tutorials and much of them said that everytime u make a change to a service, and want to check it, you will have to unintall and then install it again. Isn't there any way out coz doing this would be quite painful.
