Is it worth purchasing the following:

My company reimburses some amount. I am trying to get some real hands on code and training in design patterns. Should I go for this?

The software comes with documentation for design patterns. I also have head first... book.

Some of the patterns and other code are free but there are books about them. If the books are not included then it is better to get the books. If you want something very easy to get then use your credit card to get the software that you are asking about but note that in order to use it you will still need to invest a lot of time so if you invest a little time now to determine what you will eally use then you will likely get something better inthe long run. It is my belief that people use software they have not paid for and the buy books that they do not use. I think you should consider the dofactory software as books that you are likely to put on a shelf and never read.
