What is Development server in Expression Web ?

Could you elaborate your answer please ?
can this development server be assumed to be similar to wamp or apache server for browser-server related application.

It's a cut-down version of IIS that can be used to develop websites using Expression Web. However, it can only be browsed using localhost or the IP loopback address 127.0.0.1.

If you need to do anything else during development then you should use IIS 7 instead.
