Do MS Office required to Bind Excel Data into Grdiview

Hi I am trying to bind Excel document data into Gridview. But in my system i dont have MS office. Do it required compulsory..?. Or i can work/Bind Excel Document Without MS Office.
Please help me on this issue.

All you need is MS Access if you want to bind the data from excel document to the gridview.

you do not really require complete MS Office to install, if you all ready has MS Excel installed on your machine. Good Luck
