Please suggest what is entity frame work in .net(3.5).and advantages using this.

iam beginner for entity frame work.

HI,

following are advantages of EF,
1. Applications can work in terms of a more application-centric conceptual model, including types with inheritance, complex members, and relationships.
2. Applications are free from hard-coded dependencies on a particular data engine or storage schema.
3. Developers can work with a consistent application object model that can be mapped to various storage schemas, possibly implemented in different database management systems.
4. Multiple conceptual models can be mapped to a single storage schema.
5. Language-integrated query (LINQ) support provides compile-time syntax validation for queries against a conceptual model.
And also suggest use EF 4.0

Entity Framework is ORM(Object Relational Mapping). Since Many Years of you have made any application then you must have knowldege of programming language like c# and sql language for database operation. So most development time spent on BusinessLogic Layer,DataAccess Layer,Database Layer(Query,View,StoreProcedure). It was very difficult to persisit logic between multiple language like C#,SQL. So now Microsoft has introduct Entity Framework by which you can connect to any table of database with strongly type manner in Entity framework it is called entity. you doesn't care about insert,update,delete,persistnce logic, This all will manage by entity framework itself. So you doesn't require depth knowledge of both c#,Sql. you can do work C# Language. Every Table(Entity) you can use like object with strongly type in Entityframework. Today many ORM tools also available like N-Hibernet,LLBNGEN Pro.
