If you are ok with using Third Party dlls, then you can take a look at the http://epplus.codeplex.com/ library.

OleDb uses a base class to access the office files. Without looking at the code It is difficult to say how you are processing the sheet. Is there any specific reason for not using it. @Shweta Interop class are almost 80% slower than OleDb. In my past projects I used Interop that tooks almost a minute whereas OleDb is doing the same within 3 sec.

With Free Spire.XLS dll (https://www.nuget.org/packages/FreeSpire.XLS/), you can quickly read excel into datatable. The code is very simple:

Workbook workbook = new Workbook();
workbook.LoadFromFile("Input.xlsx");
Worksheet sheet = workbook.Worksheets[0];
DataTable dataTable = sheet.ExportDataTable();
