I think Near-By Directory is an common project so, avoid it and, Urdu Directory is not a project, you say .. its just a simple application. My personal choice will be Billing System. I know its a common topic too. but you can enhance the features like Unique ID for every house, Online Payment, You can Add Local Retailer & distributor's details in your catalog. You can make it productive project with some additon.

Project Title: Utility What Do You Want To Make? We want to make an efficient Billing System for the people , which covers Electricity bill, Sui Gas and Water Bill under One Roof i.e.one one single Bill Statement... another is A website that carries out all the Information regarding Doctors and their timings,hospital location. and 3rd one wht i though An Online Urdu Dictionary..... what u say ???
