Please find below checklists and provide your code also: 

 

Make sure that your IIS application pool runs under 4.0 framework.

 

Make sure that web.config targetframework match with project properties  framework as 4.0

 

Please post your master page file and child page aspx code here to analyse deeply.

I have checked it. And it is targetting to proper framework i:e 4.0 both in web .config and Property Pages also any

other solution available !!!

Hi Sameer,

 

You are getting error due to target framework in Visual Studio. Means your web.config file targetFramework version mismatch with your project property target version. Please target to 4.0
