Handeled exception in Controller can not call error function

While returning your Json data to Ajax method, set the errormsg, for example

 

return json({errorMsg:"Error"});

 

In your Ajax success function check the data,

 

if(data.errorMsg!="") 

{

// call you error method..... 

}

When an exception will occur in Controller; you can find it in the ErrorCallBackMethod of the Ajax call and also you can find out the status code of the error. Then depending upon the error code type you can call your Error Functions in ErrorCallBackMethod  to solve your problems.

 

If you don't want thow the exception in ErrorCallBackMethod method then you can simply write return false there.
