Hard disk id

Hi everybody ,,,, I need to read the hard disk number (or Id or serial number ) of my pc for some security issues in my application ... do anybody know how to apply that ... thanks

Actually there are two kinds of HD id ... 1- The HD drive volume number created by the operating system, this number will be changed if the HD is formated. 2- The phisical Hard Disk manufacture serial number which is unique for evey HD ... this is the one am asking for help with ... Feras
