how to check whether it is user login or not using angular2

hi,

I create a mini project that contains a homepage which I have to check whether the user connect or not if it is connected it stays in the home if the opposite I redirect to login how to please and thank you in advance

In the login method, I see the code is stroing the authenticatedUser in a localStorage
localStorage.setItem("user", authenticatedUser)
Why not check the storage?
let myItem = localStorage.getItem(user);
