1. At command prompt, navigate to path C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.X\bin
2. and run following command. It will prompt you for the password of MySQL root user.
3. Enter password and MySQL prompt will be displayed.
5. Command :
6. mysql -u root -p
7. Next Command :
8. GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON *.* TO 'USERNAME'@'IP' IDENTIFIED BY 'PASSWORD';

15. You will also then want to access the configuration file.
16. Typically found at /etc/mysql/my.cnf
17. and comment out the line that says bind-address = 127.0.0.1'.
18. To clarify, you do this by adding a # in front of the line so it reads#bind-address = 127.0.0.1'.

Change connection string

Server=myServerAddress;Port=3306;Database=myDataBase;Uid=myUsername;Pwd=myPassword;

The port 3306 is the default MySql port.

The value is ignored if Unix socket is used.
