Make sure you have set to true for EnableSsl property.Couple of friends here have given you code snippet.Try them out and let us know.

error is :smtp require a secure connection or client was not authenticated i provided my id or password correctly

Dotnet framework provides a SmtpClass which you can use to send mails.In order to send a mail,you should know following details.

1. Smtp Server Name
2. Port
3. Credentials

Gmail is a good solution for this purpose, but their is a limit of sending email .i.e Gmail allow you to send 500 emails per day.
