I want to become dotnet certified and i know c#.net . but i don't know how to start, someone said "if you want to write dotnet certifications first you have to write .net framework" if it is true what exactly comes under .net framework in the exam point of view.
How can i apply to this exam.
what next after .net framework.
i saw in microsoft site but it consists of so many levels i didn't get anything from that, please give me the perfect information before giving the microsoft links.

Working experience is definitely recommended just so that you have hands-on practical knowledge, instead of just bookish knowledge. See, there are a few questions on the exam that test your practical knowledge so it helps if you have good coding experience in that technology.
If you are a student, you can still give the exam, I suggest that you develop at least 3 projects (on your own or with a team of friends) to get the required hands-on experience. You can look at www.codeplex.com to get project ideas. Good luck!!

i have another doubt, i saw in the following link that is saying candidate should have working experience to write the exam..
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?id=70-536
is it necessary, currently i don't have any experience i am a student can i write the exam
and i already got trained from an institute in c#.net and sql server 2008 is that knowledge sufficient to write the exam.

Since you want to get certified in .NET framework first, you might want to start with the
Exam 70-536 exam TS: Microsoft .NET Framework - Application Development Foundation
or
the newest certification: Exam 70-511: TS: Windows Applications Development with Microsoft .NET Framework 4
It depends on whether you are comfortable with .NET Framework 3.5 or 4.0.
Once you decide which one of these to start with, then buy the requisite MS Press Self Paced Study Guide and read it fully. Take some practice tests and prepare yourself thoroughly. Then appear for the exam :)
