there are many ways to do this but all solutions has its own pros and cons. your memory footprint will go high by keeping data in memeory, if data is less then you may not notice it but bud data in memory will turn up into low performance. GC wil collect those object very late as they are in memory etc etc. so i just told you cons of it..let see how to save data temporary. - you can create List of Dictionary for each db context and when you change the value of any property make sure value saves only in those dictionary and at the end of your transaction i.e. commit take those obejct from in memeory dictionary and commit it. every setter of property can be adopted in that way so tat when new value is set conext is notified abt that object modification. e.g. public class DBContext { public List ModifiedObject { get; set; } public void Commit() { foreach (var o in ModifiedObject) { // connection.commit(o); // you db connectin etc. } } } public class Employee { public Employee(DBContext c) { conext = c; } private string name; private DBContext conext; public string Name { get { return name; } set { name = value; conext.ModifiedObject.Add( this ); } } }

Hi. You can use List or Datatable. If you use datatable then keep every value in it. And after that either use SqlBulkCopy or user defined table type to insert value at one time.
