How to use timer control in asp.net 2.0?

Hi i am sankar.I am using dotnet 2005 .and then i want refresh a method only using timer control,but i have used timer control in my application,but it's didn't work properly.So please tell me how to use timer control in asp.net 2.0?

i have created only asp.net website.So didn't work properly ajax control.I was found a problem then create a asp.net ajax enable website.Then that's working properly. Thanks for your post.

Hi Anuja pawar, This is displaying only Time,but didn't refresh the time in asp.net 2.0.But this coding properly working in asp.net 3.5.What i do timer control run in asp.net 2.0?

simple example of Timer control. just used to update a timestamp every 5 seconds. Timers We only have a single CodeBehind function, which you should add to your CodeBehind file: protected void UpdateTimer_Tick(object sender, EventArgs e) { DateStampLabel.Text = DateTime.Now.ToString(); }
