here is the problem where iam getting .

textbox1 ____textbox2_____textbox3

like this I took 3textboxes ,and one button name as "ok".wen I click on "OK-button" the tim6e difference between

textbox1 & textbox2 should be display in the textbox3.i need the code for this.

hope u understand,iam implemnting a project on employee timesheets.

pls send the code. 5

Hi Srinivas,

This is my console result :
DateTime StartTime = DateTime.Parse("08:00 AM");
DateTime EndTime = DateTime.Parse("04:00 PM");
TimeSpan ts = EndTime - StartTime;
Console.WriteLine(new DateTime(ts.Ticks).ToString("HH:mm"));
Output : 08:00

You can use ts.Ticks which will return you the number of ticks(1 tick = 100 nano second) . Convert that ticks to String in format HH:mm

In OK button click event you may write the below code .

TextBox1.Text=("08:00 AM");
TextBox2.Text=("04:00 PM");
DateTime StartTime = DateTime.Parse(TextBox1.Text);
DateTime EndTime = DateTime.Parse(TextBox2.Text);
TimeSpan ts = EndTime - StartTime;
TextBox3.Text = ts.Hours;

// These are additional options of the ts time span object

ts.Days // 0
ts.Hours // 8
ts.Milliseconds // 0
ts.Minutes // 0
ts.Seconds // 0
ts.Ticks // 288000000000
ts.TotalDays // 0.3333333333333333331
ts.TotalHours // 8.0
ts.TotalMilliseconds // 28800000.0
ts.TotalMinutes // 480.0
ts.TotalSeconds // 28800.0
