Hi Gaurav,

Thanks for accepting my answer, happy it fixed ur probelm :)

The exception you mentioned is regarding the jquery Gaurav, if your using bootsrap in your project, you need to have the jquery above 1.9 version

QuickFix:

Download the jquery.min.js from the below url and add to ur project

Hi ,

Please ensure that you have getting DOM element object from the document.getElementById("lblMsg") statement.Because if you not get the javascript object, you can't make the hide. so please check and let me know the details.

Hi did this control is server control or did you set the property visible false for the lable "lblMsg";

if you set the visible property in the lable then javascript will not work, post your lable and javascript method.

$('[id$=lblMsg]').css('display','none');

If this doesn't works could you please tell us what version jquery ur using

I hope you are not using server side label.

If you are using HTML label then this will definitely work:

$('#lblMsg').attr('style','display:none');
