I'm inclined to agree with Akash, particularly as web applications are where most of the action is nowadays.

WPF isn't easy to understand - it's predecessor Windows Forms is much easier though not as powerful.

WCF isn't easy either and is definitely not a technology to cut your teeth on.

Yes mvc is good to start but start with latest one mvc 3.0 rozer so you can learn what's in current market

They're used for different purposes. Briefly:

* MVC is used for building web appllcations.

* WPF is used for building desktop applications.

* WCF is used for building connected, service-oriented applications.

So, it depends what type of applications you're wanting to build.

There are plenty of articles on all three on this site.
