OR logical operator can use alone

Sir, i am working on SQL server. I got a problem i want to know that we should always use other logical operator with NOT operator. Is this mandatory to us other operator (AND ,OR) with NOT operator

Not operator can not be use independently. In Sql Server it use With IN and Exists means NOT IN and NOT Exists.

I am not as experienced with SQL as the others here but since the NOT operator is a logical operator it requires a boolean value. So it is usually used with other logical operators since then the type of the expression is boolean. I don't know what would happen if the NOT operator was used with non-boolean data but my guess is that SQL would complain.

it not mandatary to use other operators but it depends on ur requirements but if u need to use 'and' or 'or' operator check the result of the all apparators order which may affect ur results

The answer to your question is that NOT can be used independently - it doesn't have to be used with AND or OR though it usually is.

It depends upon the requirement and what output you need to generate. Build different quires and check the execution and statistics.
