Problem creating C# / VB.Net Smart Device Apps

Jul 16 2004 1:10 PM
I am at a loss!! Can someone PLEASE HELP ME!!! I am trying to create a C# or VB.Net Smart Device App Project. I have the template, and can select what kind of platform I want to develop for. BUT, when the wizard creates the project, Visual Studio will either crash OR when it actually DOES create the project, I am unable to use the Visual Designer to create a form! The wizard creates the file "form1.cs", but the Designer view is missing and displays the following error message: "An error occured while loading the document. Fix the error and try loading the document again. The error message follows: The designer could not be shown for this file because none of the classes within it can be designed." I have Visual Studio 2003 loaded, and I just reinstalled the entire program, which didn't fix the problem. I also installed eMbedded "VC++ 4.0" and SP3 for it. Also, I installed "Microsoft Pocket PC 2003 SDK". I even installed "Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition Developer Resources" kit. After I installed these, I am STILL getting the SAME error!! AAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!! I have looked through Microsofts knowlege base for help, but can't find anything. Can someone please help me with this? Has anyone else had this problem, and if so how did they fix it? Does anyone have ANY other ideas?? Does anyone know of another place I can ask, or a way to ask Microsoft??? WHAT IS GOING ON!!!?????? HHHHEEELLLLLPPPP PPPLLLLEEEEAAAASSSEEEE!!!! Thanks for any help! CCollett222 A side note: I am able to select an "empty project" instead of a "windows application", but I am unable to add a form to that project. I cannot add a form to any smart device project.
