Receiving the mail more than once.

Hiii All,
This is not a functional error, it could be happen when someone intensionly Checked & Unchecked the "Do you like this Answer" (check box) again and again without waiting page load...then multiple mails come with the same time.

Sam: I did post the screenshot to get a clear picture for testers/moderators to resolve the issue but nothing more. And I second you regarding encouraging the members to accept the post as answers when the answers helped them, rather than asking them in every post.
One more is that I just checked a post of mine as good post myself for couple of times and I dont know still how many times i could do it. Does this count for checking ones own post?

Madhu: how much of your time does this take? For me, this problem takes less of my time than the time I have spent talking about it, and I think I have gotten more of these extra messages than you have. There are other problems that take more of my time. Certainly I could just ignore this thread, but it is something I have also noticed happening. I think Mahesh and the others have heard us and want to fix the problem. There are other problems that I consider to be more important. What would you prefer to have? A few extra notifications that one of your posts is accepted as an answer or no notification about an answer being accepted. In my opinion, it is much more important that efforts be put into encouraging and supporting members to accept posts as answers.

So it is good to identify the problem, but in my opinion at least, it can be given a lower priority.

I am not getting such kind of problem.

Mahesh: I have attached screenshot of the emails recieved at different times when different questions marked as answer. I did recieve it again. I think this is not solved yet.

One possibility is that when the checkbox has been checked in a thread and then another reply in the thread gets checked then a message could be shown saying that only one message per thread can be checked. So in other words the message won't show the first time that the checkbox is checked for a thread. It might be a little irritating for those that sincerely want to change which post that they want to select, but it is unlikely they will get the message too much. It is more likely that the message would be shown only when someone does not know that they cannot select more than one post per thread. Perhaps it would work to show the message only the second time that the checkbox in a thread is checked. The counter could be temporary in the sense that it does not need to be persisted for the user or the thread or anything. So then if a member chooses a reply and then later on another day they change their minid and chooses another post, they would not get the message when they choose a different post.

Question: Do you guys get all three confirmations same time or say next day or after some hours? Updating an answer will trigger the message again.
Possible Solution: We can close the thread once an answer is accepted.
Dharmendra and Divya (testers) tried to reproduce the bug but can't.
Sam, about possiblity of letting users know about "Accept Answer", we can send a note in the message when a reply is posted to the member and ask them to Accept the answer.
Any other better solutions?

If the problem is that people do not know that only one message can be accepted as an answer, then that problem needs a solution since it happens so often. There needs to be a way to make it clear. Related to that, we need the forum software to make it clear that it helps to mark the "Do you like this" checkbox instead of expectiing forum members to beg for their answer to be accepted.

I am not facing such kind of issue regarding multiple emails.

May be the reason behind facing this issue is due to multiple clicks on 'Do you like this answer' check box.

Thanks for reply Mahesh but I did recieved 4 emails at 3:50 PM IST Today.

Thanks for the update Madhu. We will test it out more but I only get email once when somebody accepted an answer. Sometimes people update the message after reading first time and it will resend the message again.
Let us test this more and also let us know if you still getting multiple emails.
