I guess you would refer to it as a web request.

When you open up google maps, or any other input webpage like yahoo finance. There is a textbox and then a button which executes based on the text.  How can I from my website execute the button click with text from my page.. Like my address is 999 example drive, request ny,99999..google will open with that address on the screen. Same goes for yahoo finance. THanks
