Regarding rollback query

You can rollback the updated on a table when process is in transaction

We genrally use transactions when we do insert or update operations through stored procedure(doesn't mean that cann't do in plan script)

giving you an example of transaction in SQl

we have a requirement to update the employee table based on the ID , if 2 or more rows are updated , it should be roll back and return a message

The short is NO.

 

A non-committed transaction can be reverted by issuing the command ROLLBACK

 

But if you are running in auto-commit mode there is nothing you can do....
