remove selected value after submit from dropdown

i have a text area ,dropdownlist and submit button

when i click on submit button selected value insert into textarea,

but now i want that selected value should remove from dropdown list after inserted in textarea..

duplicate values should not insert into text area from dropdown if that selected value is already in text area.

how it can be using javascript ???

instead of this $('#SectionName> option[value=' + optionval + ']').remove();

$('#Dropdownlistid option:eq(0)').attr('selected','selected');

with the help of above script i use to post dropdown selected value into text area
i m able to post selected value into textarea but unable to remove that selected value from dropdown list
