several connection for database in asp.net

can any body tell how i can make a class.cs for database conniction in asp.net to use it in all aspx pages, so i wont write it ever time.... thanks in advance

Well just take note, web.config sounds fine. Just don't place your password in there. Many did, especially those who learn from books which encourage userid of SA :( bad practices :( Second, for the database connectivity class, you can follow yasser advice or you can look at Microsoft Enterprise Library - Data Application Block :) Chers.

Hi U can do a better thing according to me Set the the database connection in web.config so that u can directly call the variable in every page Here are the steps u need to follow for that 1. Open the web.config file of your project 2. In the tag u have a tag 3 in that add code like the below ones now here conDB represents ur database connection hereafter 4. Now in every page instead of opening a new connection u can call ConfigurationSettings.AppSettings("conDB") which gives u the connection directly. Happy Coding

Create a public class and in that class create public property to return connection string and/or public method to return connection. You can also define parameterized public method to return datasets and in the paramater pass the sql query.
