Read Sharepoint Users and Roles Using C# Windows application

hi ,

I have to build/update one windows application(C#) . For access control I have to check if logged in winodos user is part of particulare sharepoint group on site or not. How can i acheive same .

You can also use the emailAddress and call below function to check the user presence in the group :

If you want to check Windows logged in user permisison on SharePoint Site you should first retrieve logged in user name with domain name check following link for reference.

After retrieving user name check the user is available or not in SharePoint group.

In your case may be you have configured the default window authentication and you must be running the console application on the SharePoint server?

If this is the case then below code can help you to get current logged in user in C#. Once you get the user then you can check for the group also.
SPWeb theSite = SPControl.GetContextWeb(Context);
SPUser theUser = theSite.CurrentUser;
string strUserName = theUser.LoginName;
