Single trigger on multiple tables

Hello all

please give me suggestion for below question.

i want to implement a trigger with three tables like

test is a trigger name and i want to apply this trigger on a,b,c tables .

Hi Amit,

No, you can have single trigger on multiple triggers, But you can have trigger on views where you can join multible tables. However, how this solution will be helpful to you depends on the business scanario you want to achieve.

The trigger object is in one-to-one relationship with a table. So it is technically not possible to have a single trigger associated with 3 tables. The proof of this is that you have to expand table node in SQL Server Management Studio to view the associated triggers.
All you can do is probably abstract the logic in a stored procedure and execute that stored procedure in those 3 triggers.
Please be aware, however, that the "inserted" and "deleted" tables are available within the context of the trigger only.
