i want to use insert and select command in a store procedure how will i check in c# either it is for insert or select.

Create stored procedure with a parameter to indicate type of operation e.g. @OperationType varchar(50) pass 'insert' or 'select' based on your C# code in SP using if condition of @OperationType, write your code accordingly
