In mvc application The resource cannot be found error occur.i was change right click the project and select properties go to web "specific page" i give my page name but still show this error.how to fix this error.

I believe that you selected *.cshtml page as the specific page. But in MVC, it is implemented routing concept. The URL will be like host/ControllerName/Action, but you are browsing the page directly which will not work.

In order to make it work, you have to ignore *.cshtml and make change in routeconfig.cs file.

routes.IgnoreRoute("{*allcshtml}", new {allcshtml=@".*\.cshtml(/.*)?"});

I explain my problem . only i have create in viewpage1.aspx page in (view).i create one label and 1 text box and one submit button.no other changes or no other modification done in project.now run my project.I fix viewpage1.aspx page as start as page. after the running my project .I have write basic code only.
