two-dimensional array

it may be better for you to use a two dimensional array list. This would be better for adding values, as you don't have to redeclare the dimension size. (Code not tested) Dim arr1 as New ArrayList() Dim arr2 as New ArrayList("Val1,1","Val1,2") arr1.add(arr2) arr2 = new ArrayList("Val2,1","Val2,2") arr1.add(arr2) It is important to re-initialize the arr2 to a New instance, as it points to an address in memory. If you want to change the contents of the second array, it is fairly simple, just retrieve the object (arraylist) in the specified index of arr1, then use the ArrayList functions to manipulate the data (including the .add() method).
