unable to attach sql database

Question

when i try to attach my mdf file i got below error have tried few ways like running my sql as Admininistrator,giving the full access of mdf file but yet not able to attach error An error occurred when attaching the database(s).Click the hyperlink in the message column for details kindly assist to sort the error

Where did you get these files from? Did you detatch the database before you copied the files over at the source server? From the error message, it appears that the .mdf and .ldf are not consistent.

have both in same location

You must have both the .mdf and the .ldf files. Did you get BOTH from where you took it or just one?

File activation failure. The physical file name "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.SQLEXPRESS\MSSQL\DATA\SBITPOS_log.ldf" may be incorrect. The log cannot be rebuilt because there were open transactions/users when the database was shutdown, no checkpoint occurred to the database, or the database was read-only. This error could occur if the transaction log file was manually deleted or lost due to a hardware or environment failure. the error i get

Copy your mdf file and paste it where your sql installed folder. Final folder name is data
