upload Document to SP Document library through MS Word, how to restrict this operation to particular SP group users.

Eg: Group A users only can do this, Group B & Group C should not

so you would like to grant contribute/Edit permission to Group A only and Group B/Group C should not be able to able to upload document, if this is the case please change the general permissions from 'contribute' to 'read' in your document library for Group B and Group C, then everyone from Group B and Group C should be able to open the documents, but not write back to the server. while Group A will have same permission and able to contribute.

apply security on list. Not sure how to do that? go to library settings and grant or remove permission.
