validate two dropdownlist values inside gridview using JS

Hello All

My requirement is I need to validate 2 dropdown list values inside gridview if it comes to edit mode contains edit item template.

scenario like I had dropdown 1 ,dropdown 2 it select same value i need to show validation message using javascript function all dropdown are inside the grid view control when its comes to edit item template .

kindly hep me to unblock this issue.

Suppose you have placed dropdown in edititemtemplate of gridview:

<asp:Label ID="LBLeSpeciality" runat="server" Text='<%# Eval("DrSpeciality") %>' Visible="false">asp:Label>
<asp:DropDownList ID="ddleSpeciality" runat="server" >
<asp:ListItem Text="Select Speciality" />
<asp:ListItem Text="Orthopedics" Value="Orthopedics" />
<asp:ListItem Text="Spine Surgeon" Value="Spine Surgeon" />
<asp:ListItem Text="Rheumatologist" Value="Rheumatologist" />
<asp:ListItem Text="Endocrinologist" Value="Endocrinologist" />
<asp:ListItem Text="Other" Value="Other" />
asp:DropDownList>
EditItemTemplate>

Suppose you have two dropdowns, in this case you can simply get value of both dropdowns and match them if same then display alert. Here I am just showing you an example of getting value from dropdown.
