Want suggestions

I think DBA is a good option for your career path.. I would suggest still there is time to shift from testing to DBA and DBA has a good scope as compare to testing.

You can definitely think about being a DBA.

There are two jobs that are going to take off in next coming 10 years - DBA and Network Admins. More applications and data is moving to the Web, both jobs have good future.

I don't know what a DBA position is like currently but about a quarter of a century ago it was a very difficult job, but not so much technically as the management skills. I think it is typical for a DBA to be pulled in two or more directions; the developers want one thing and the management wants something different and there might be a technical support department that wants other things. I think you need to at least talk with other DBA people. As a beginner (people who speak English as a native language do not say fresher when they mean beginner) you will likely have a difficult time as a DBA. I hope it pays well.

If you are a fresher or with around a years experience then i def agree with you to have a career change from a tester to a DBA since DBA has a very good scope .If you are more than 2 years exp then its not a good idea. since you need to start again DBA career as a fresher...
