What is Elasticsearch? how to use in .net project.

For using ElasticSearch in asp.net project, you will need to install and configure ElasticSearch on some Windows machine. ES has it's own database (document store actually, which is nothing but a JSON, same as MongoDB) You will need to use ES API to insert documents and search documents.

Entirety of interface is a web service only. So you can all your development and testing using tools like Postman. Then create some interface classes in C# and give them to developers to make C# calls.

So far as possible, write classes in such a way that the implementation details are completely hidden from the developers.
There are .NET classes already available but I never used them.

Elasticsearch - Real Time Distributed , open source full-text search and analytics engine.

Why we Need This Elastic Search ?

To provide the full text based search you may think you can go with the Sql based search engine. Whereas if you go with that it will applicable only for the relational data types. If it's Unstructured data the search & indexing options efficiency performance options will not be upto the marks.

.Net Elastic Search ?

Since Elastic Search is Open Source, In-Order to use .Net, The .Net Platform which provides these 2 clients
Elasticsearch.Net - Low Level, If you don't have an idea how getdata(Request)/Put data(Response).
NEST - High Level, the request and response objects have been mapped closely.
