What is next steps for career?

hello ,

I have 4.6 yr of exp in dot net.i think as per my exp. i can eligible for senior s/w developer.

I try many interview in pune but due to some lacking of knowledge i failed.i don't know what the company expected from me!!.

So, my question is what are my next step(SKILLS) so i can best in senior s/w developer.

Hello Piyush,
Let me tell you one thing, always ask for detailed Job Description (J.D.) from HR of the company you are applying or being interviewed with.
JD provided an insight into what all they are looking for in a candidate, many times just hands on is not enough, may be they want someone who can fill the vacuum within the team on various aspects.
As you also mentioned you don't know what they want, so ask for JD and ask HR in your preliminary round what skills and type of candidate they are looking for given position.
I am sure just like me you learn from every interview and think what are To Do's and Don'ts for next interview.

Try to prepare a list of question which you are facing in different interviews, try to track which answer u a re able to give or not able to give. if you dont know any answer then look for the answer and if you know answer then must do some research weather ur given answer is as good as or not.
Always try to make your diary of question bank which you face in interview and read in interview books.
Always search for the interview question +1 by your experience. suppose you have 4.5 years of experience then try to look for the question of 5 - 6 years.
