Java still has an advantage in being available for virtually all platforms and, whilst Microsoft C# has been mainly confined to Windows, Mono and Xamarin have effectively extended the language's reach to cover other major platforms as well.

C# is a perfect tool to give more opportunity and flexibility with applications, easy to use and understand. Java is platform independent and can work in both OS and web environment. Everything is evolving into .NET
