Hi Everybody,
I have 2.6 yrs of total experience. I have been working in .Net technologies so far such as WPF,WCF,ASP.NET,C#,SQL,MVC,JQuery.
But now i have been forced to shift my technology to something else by my company.
Now i am worried about losing touch in .Net and also i have a few questions.Kindly guide me.
1.How do i keep in touch with .Net technology?
2.Are there any Open/Live projects available at any site/forum i can work upon?
3.Will it be a problem when i switch to other company and tell them that for past few months i have not been working on .net?
4.Also how can i enhance my skillset in .net technologies?

I am also have the same problem like you. I am also having 2 years of experience in pure .net. But now I am working on shell script. Still I have hands on grip on .net. Let me just only tell you how?
1. I am continously reading .net articles on various websites.
2. Guiding my juniours on .net.
3. Trying to solve/give the solutions to the online forums to developers like this website and code project website.
4. By trying to give answers to the online forums is the best way to stay in touch with .net. Because you come to know the real world problems of developers and trying to solve that is the like real time developing code.
This is answer to your 1st question.
Now let me address your 2nd question.
2. If you want to work live on .net project apart from your company then Freelancer is the best way to start. Register yourself on that website and get the projetcs to work.
3rd Question
Surely it will not the problem to switch the company because you all ready have enough experience to get the lot more interview calls. But don't tell to company that you are not working on .net since few months.
4th question
Work on real time project on real world problem is the only way I think so to enhance the skills set on .net or any other technology.
Final words,
I am not the career advisor, but I think you can do above things to be in the .net world.
