As an ACS-Support Engineer specializing in storage, you will be a key player in providing advanced support for IBM Cloud’s storage solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective problem-solving and technical expertise.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality support to IBM Cloud customers by diagnosing and resolving issues related to cloud-based storage products.
- Communicate effectively with customers and partners via various channels (phone, chat, case management) to manage technical issues and expectations.
- Utilize your knowledge of storage technologies to analyze and resolve complex multi-system issues.
- Document and track customer cases, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution.
- Work with internal teams and management to address and resolve critical issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of support processes and practices.
- Operating Systems. Intermediate understanding of Windows, Linux, VMware.
Storage Technologies
- File and Block Storage (iSCSI, NFS, NAS)
- Object Storage (S3)
- Network-based backup solutions (R1soft, Quantastor, Evault, Veeam)
- Filesystems (NTFS, ext3/4, xfs)
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of direct customer support experience.
- 3+ years in the cloud computing industry focusing on storage and infrastructure services.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex technical issues.
- Relevant certifications in storage technologies (e.g., Object Storage, SAN, NAS, Backup).
Virtualization
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Citrix XenServer, Hyper-V) and their interaction with storage solutions.
