Responsibilities
- Conduct state-of-the-art research in machine learning and AI to enhance the robustness of multimodal foundation models and systems.
- Design and develop novel AI algorithms, models, and systems aimed at improving natural language and multimodal understanding.
- Implement optimized, uncertainty-aware AI algorithms on Intel platforms using machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and Python.
- Collaborate with a research team to advance the field through original research and publications.
- Work with business units to translate research findings into practical technology applications.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, AI/ML, or a related technical field, or a Master’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in developing efficient AI models, finetuning multimodal foundation models, and system optimization.
- Proficiency in natural language processing, computer vision, and multimodal AI systems with a strong foundation in deep learning.
- Skilled in Python and/or other programming languages, with hands-on experience in PyTorch or similar machine learning frameworks.
- Familiarity with uncertainty estimation methods in deep neural networks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Publications in leading AI/ML conferences such as NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, CVPR, EMNLP, etc.
- Demonstrated experience in deep learning and software development, with contributions to open-source projects and participation in AI/coding challenges.
- Experience with Transformer and Foundation models.
- Research experience in data-efficient AI algorithms such as domain adaptation and active learning.
- Experience in low-precision optimizations and quantization frameworks.
