Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience combined with a Bachelor's degree, OR
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience without a degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, OR
- 2+ years of relevant work experience with an Advanced Degree (Master’s, MBA, JD, MD).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and data technologies.
- Hands-on proficiency in Python and Java for developing robust and efficient applications.
- Familiarity with leading machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and deploying scalable AI pipelines and integrating ML models into real-time production systems.
- Proven ability to manage and execute multiple high-visibility, large-language-model (LLM)-based projects, maintaining a balance between speed and high-quality output.
- Adept at showcasing AI-driven productivity improvements by collecting, analyzing, and presenting relevant performance metrics.
- Highly self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and leadership in advancing AI initiatives within the department.
- Enthusiastic mentor to team members, enabling others to leverage both established and emerging AI tools and technologies.
- Exceptional ability to clearly communicate complex AI concepts and ideas to technical teams as well as non-technical stakeholders and leadership.
- Skilled at driving end-to-end development of AI applications, from ideation to embedding, automating, scaling, and ongoing operations.
- Committed to maintaining the technical quality and reliability of AI applications through rigorous validation, testing frameworks, and best practices for scalable data ingestion and processing.
- Expertise in optimizing AI applications for performance and operational efficiency across diverse environments.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional and global teams to drive AI innovation and promote a culture of continuous learning.
- Highly proficient in applying large-language-model (LLM) frameworks and realizing their full business potential.
- Hands-on experience in full-stack development is a plus, especially with Java and Angular.
- Ability to tackle open-ended, highly complex technical problems with minimal guidance and drive them to successful completion.
- Comfortable managing multiple concurrent assignments, delivering on both AI-specific and broader software development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, development, and deployment of scalable AI and ML models into production environments.
- Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and business partners to understand requirements and translate them into effective AI solutions.
- Implement frameworks and workflows for model training, validation, and deployment.
- Continuously monitor model performance and retrain or recalibrate models as needed.
- Contribute to the development and adoption of AI best practices, standards, and technologies across Visa.
- Mentor and guide junior developers and team members on AI/ML concepts, tools, and techniques.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in AI, machine learning, and software development to bring cutting-edge innovations to Visa.
- Communicate project statuses, key achievements, and challenges effectively to technical leads and non-technical stakeholders.
