Wipro is seeking a highly skilled Application Architect with a robust background in cloud migration and architecture. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in assessing and migrating on-premises applications to the cloud, utilizing tools such as Azure Migrate, Matilda, AWS native tools, or custom-built solutions. This role involves designing target cloud architectures, guiding migration efforts, and engaging with stakeholders to ensure successful cloud transitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Readiness Assessment. Evaluate existing on-premises and data center applications for cloud readiness using Azure Migrate, Matilda, AWS tools, or custom solutions.
- Discovery & Assessment. Conduct thorough discovery and assessment of applications, provide recommendations on R-lane, identify move groups, and develop migration approaches.
- Cost Comparison & Negotiation. Perform cost analyses comparing on-premises and cloud applications; negotiate with stakeholders to advocate for cloud migration.
- Technical Assessment. Assess application architecture and code quality using advanced tools; generate comprehensive reports.
- Collaboration. Work with multiple enterprise groups to gather infrastructure and software details.
- Cloud Expertise. Demonstrate deep knowledge of cloud services from AWS, Azure, and GCP; design target cloud architectures and identify appropriate cloud services.
- Guidance & Support. Guide migration teams technically to ensure successful cloud migration, following best practices and frameworks.
- Cloud Architecture Framework. Ensure adherence to cloud well-architected frameworks, manage cloud security, performance, and reliability, and optimize cloud spending using native tools.
Stakeholder Interaction
- Delivery Teams. Oversee architectural process deployment, manage escalations, resolve issues, and ensure delivery excellence.
- Pre-Sales Team. Collaborate on solutioning and architectural design.
- Quality Assurance. Conduct periodic architectural reviews.
- Practice Teams. Engage to understand different solution portfolios.
- Holmes Engineering. Support automation initiatives.
- Talent Transformation Team, Competency Group. Plan and deliver technical training and knowledge sharing.
